97 revolution contributors in Hai Phong to receive gifts on National Day occasion

To mark the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – 2025), the Hai Phong People’s Committee has decided to present gifts to revolution contributors in the city.

Accordingly, 97 individuals in five categories of revolution contributors will receive gifts, including: revolutionaries active before January 1, 1945; revolutionaries active from January 1, 1945 until before the August 19, 1945 General Uprising; Heroic Vietnamese Mothers; People’s Armed Forces Heroes; and Labor Heroes during the resistance. All of them are currently receiving monthly allowances.

Each person will receive 5.5 million VND. Those to be visited in person by Standing Members of the city Party Committee will receive an additional in-kind gift worth 500,000 VND.

The total budget is about 554.245 million VND, allocated from the social security fund under the city People’s Committee’s Decision No. 2999/QD-UBND dated July 25, 2025 on State budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 2025 after organizational restructuring.

The city People’s Committee assigned the Department of Home Affairs to take the lead, in coordination with relevant agencies, units, and localities, to prepare the gifts, verify the list of eligible recipients, allocate funding from the local budget already allocated to the Department of Home Affairs (under Decision No. 2999), and distribute the gifts in accordance with regulations.
