On September 28, at Hai Phong SOS Children’s Village, the city Association for Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans, together with sponsors, presented Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to orphans and children with disabilities being cared for at the city’s social protection centers.

At the program, representatives of Jiangxi Chamber of Commerce and Hao Fu Hotel from China presented gifts worth a total of 70 million VND, consisting of cash and essential goods, to orphans and children with disabilities living at Hoa Phuong Social Work and Child Protection Center and Hai Phong SOS Children’s Village.

The Jiangxi Chamber of Commerce expressed hope that these small gifts would bring joy and encouragement to the children, helping them overcome difficulties, study hard, and strive for a better life, and that the program would serve as a bridge to further strengthen the good friendship between the Chinese business community and Hai Phong city.
On morning of the same day, the Hai Phong Blind Association, in cooperation with the Thien Tu Tam - Love Connecting Club from the Kingdom of Belgium, presented gifts to visually impaired people living in localities of the former Vinh Bao district.

At the event, Nguyen Thi Ngan, a Vietnamese expatriate from Hai Phong and head of the club, handed over 100 gifts worth 60 million VND.
The sponsor representative affirmed that they would continue connect benevolent overseas Vietnamese to bring charitable activities back to the homeland, targeting disadvantaged groups in society.
