Songs about Hai Phong City, together with a large-scale orchestral performance by 65 musicians, created an emotional artistic space that reflected the city’s aspirations for development.

On the evening of July 11, the art program “Hai Phong, My Hometown’, by composer Xuan Binh, was held in an emotional atmosphere at Hoa Phuong Theater.
The program was organized by Binh Minh Phuong Nam Media Co., Ltd. in coordination with composer Xuan Binh, under the sponsorship of Hai Phong’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hai Phong Union of Literature and Arts Associations. It was broadcast live on the channels and digital platforms of Hai Phong Newspaper and Radio, Television.

The show was structured into three parts: ‘Memory of the Waves’, ‘Heartbeat of the Seaport’ and ‘Hai Phong in My Heart’, featuring 17 famous songs selected from nearly 20 works by musician Xuan Binh about Hai Phong City.

A highlight of the evening was an orchestral performance by 65 musicians, combining an electronic band, a symphony orchestra and a choir to deliver fresh, modern arrangements.

The concert brought together many well-known artists, including People’s Artists Thanh Lam, Tan Minh, Khanh Hoa and Nhat Thuan; Meritorious Artists Dang Duong and Phuong Anh; as well as many young singers.

The melodies celebrating the Port City not only made for a deeply moving artistic night, but also helped spread love for the homeland and inspire pride in the heroic seaport city, in line with Hai Phong’s goal of becoming a ‘City of Music’ in the new period.
