Book and Reading Culture Day 2026 at Hai Phong City Library plays an important role in promoting reading culture.

On the morning of April 16, Hai Phong City Library hosted a series of dynamic activities to mark the 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2026, creating a vibrant atmosphere and attracting many delegates, teachers, students, and readers.
Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2026 honors the value of books and highlights the crucial role of reading in raising public knowledge, developing critical thinking, shaping character, and building a learning society. In the context of digital transformation, maintaining and strengthening reading habits has become increasingly important, especially among young people.

Through a range of diverse activities, such as launching the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, book exhibitions, and discount book fairs, the program aims to create a friendly reading environment and encourage the spread of reading habits throughout the community.
A key highlight was the 2026 children’s drawing contest based on books and newspapers, attracting 165 students from 83 communes, wards, and special zones.

From the entries, the Organizing Board selected 52 outstanding works for awards including 2 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 20 third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes.
