The environmental clean-up campaign in Hai Phong attracted nearly 195,400 participants across 2,633 residential communities, with approximately 211,500 households taking part.

Large numbers of residents in Kim Thanh Commune participated in environmental clean-up activities.

On June 6, in response to the campaign “All People Join Hands to Protect the Environment for a Green, Clean and Beautiful Vietnam” launched by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, all 114 communes, wards, and special zones across Hai Phong simultaneously organized environmental sanitation and landscape improvement activities. The campaign attracted broad participation from officials, Party members, youth union members, association members, and local residents.

According to statistics from the Hai Phong Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the campaign was widely promoted and implemented across villages and residential communities, drawing nearly 195,400 participants from 2,633 residential areas. Approximately 211,500 households, 1,084 agencies and organizations, 1,110 schools, nearly 1,700 enterprises, and 17 member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front took part in the initiative.

Participants carried out street cleaning, collected and processed tons of waste, cleaned more than 4,570 kilometers of roads, public spaces, and coastal areas, and planted as well as maintained nearly 18,100 trees.

Residents of An Lao Commune take part in caring for and maintaining green spaces.

The environmental clean-up and tree-care activities have contributed to improving the quality of the living environment, enhancing the appearance of urban and rural areas, and promoting greener, cleaner, and more beautiful communities. At the same time, these efforts help raise public awareness and strengthen the sense of responsibility among residents for environmental protection.

In 2026, communes, wards, and special zones across Hai Phong are expected to organize 418 environmental action campaigns and establish 2,205 public environmental monitoring teams. These initiatives will continue to harness community participation in building a greener, cleaner, more civilized, and sustainably developing city.
