The Vietnamese rowing team won six gold, one silver, and two bronze medals at the 2025 Asian Rowing Championships in Hai Phong.

The final races of Group B and the closing ceremony of the 2025 Asian Rowing Championships took place at the Hai Phong Training and Sports Competition Center on October 19.
In the women’s eight (W8+) final, Pham Thi Ngoc Anh, Pham Thi Thao, Tran Thi Kiet, Le Thi Hien, Ha Thi Vui, Dinh Thi Hao, Pham Thi Hue, Du Thi Bong, and Luong Thi Thao took the lead right from the start and finished first with a time of 6 minutes 42.17 seconds, securing the fifth gold medal for Vietnam.

In the tournament’s last final event, the women’s quadruple sculls (W4x), Tran Thi Tu Uyen, Nguyen Thi Van Anh, Bui Thi Thu Hien, and Pham Thi Bich Ngoc delivered a dominant performance, leaving behind the Indian team to claim another gold medal.
The result marked a successful season for Vietnamese rowing at the Asian Rowing Championships with six golds, one silver, and two bronzes. This is the first time Vietnam has won six gold medals at an Asian championship.

Held from October 16 to 19 in Hai Phong, the 2025 Asian Rowing Championships brought together nearly 700 athletes, coaches, and senior officials from 18 Asian countries and territories.
The tournament concluded successfully, serving as an opportunity for Vietnam, especially Hai Phong, to demonstrate its capability to host professional international sporting events.
