With impressive form and high spirits, Vietnam’s rowing team delivered an outstanding performance, winning four gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.

The final races of Group A at the 2025 Asian Rowing Championships took place at the Hai Phong Rowing Training Center on October 18.

Ten men’s and women’s finals were held with intense, exciting competition. Showing strong form and determination, Vietnamese rowers earned four gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.

Rowers Ha Thi Vui and Du Thi Bong secured the first gold medal for Vietnam by finishing first in the lightweight women’s pair (LW2-) with a time of 7 minutes 46.09 seconds.

Just a few minutes later, in the women’s pair (W2-) event, Pham Thi Hue and Dinh Thi Hao crossed the finish line first in 7 minutes 38.90 seconds, claiming the second gold for Vietnam.

Riding the momentum, Vietnamese rowers Pham Thi Ngoc Anh, Le Thi Hien, Ha Thi Vui, and Du Thi Bong triumphed in the women’s four (W4-) with a time of 6 minutes 56.47 seconds, while Luong Thi Thao, Ho Thi Duy, Nguyen Thi Giang, and Pham Thi Thao brought home the fourth gold in the lightweight women’s quadruple sculls (LW4X) with a time of 6 minutes 46.54 seconds.

Vietnam also earned one silver medal in the women’s pair (W2X) by Nguyen Thi Van Anh and Pham Thi Bich Ngoc, and two bronze medals in the men’s quadruple sculls (M4X) and men’s eight (M8+).
The Group B finals are taking place on the morning of October 19, promising more exciting results, followed by the medal awarding and closing ceremonies of the 2025 Asian Rowing Championships.
