Vietnam Maritime University is implementing a project to become a national key university as approved by the Prime Minister.

Vietnam Maritime University held a ceremony on November 20 to mark the 43rd Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – 2025).
Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Hung attended and shared the celebration with the university’s teachers and students.

At the ceremony, Associate Professor, Doctor Pham Xuan Duong, Rector of Vietnam Maritime University, extended congratulations and expressed deep gratitude to senior educators and lecturers who have devoted and contributed to the university’s development.
Over nearly 70 years of establishment and growth, the university has achieved remarkable accomplishments, contributing to the socio-economic development and ensuring security and defense of the city, the transport sector, and the country.

This year’s ceremony took place as the entire university is determined to carry out academic-year tasks and major policies, including a project to turn Vietnam Maritime University into a national key university as approved by the Prime Minister.
Building on its achievements, the university will continue renewing curricula and teaching methods; mobilizing investment sources to upgrade facilities and teaching equipment; and improving the well-being of faculty members and scientists, thereby promoting comprehensive development and moving closer to the goal of reaching regional and global stature.

On this occasion, the university announced a decision recognizing six lecturers as meeting the standards for the titles of professor and associate professor; four collectives and three individuals of the university received certificates of merit from the Minister of Construction for their outstanding achievements during the 2021–2025 period.
