At the event, delegates reviewed the 80-year proud history of the NA and the important contributions made by the Hai Phong delegation to the NA’s overall achievements.
Speaking at the meeting, Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the city Party Committee and Head of the city Delegation of NA Deputies, emphasized that throughout the development of the NA, deputy delegations of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province in different periods, and now the Hai Phong delegation, have always been closely connected and made significant contributions to the NA’s activities.

With a strong sense of responsibility to voters and the people, during the 2021 – 2026 term the Hai Phong delegation fulfilled its assigned tasks with distinction, continuing to affirm its role as a trusted bridge between the NA and the city’s voters and people, positively contributing to the overall success of the 15th NA.
Hai Phong is entering a new stage of development with many favorable conditions and opportunities, while also facing numerous difficulties and challenges. This requires the city Delegation of NA Deputies to further uphold its sense of responsibility and excellently fulfill its duties.

The delegation should continue to promote its role as an effective bridge between the Central authorities and the city; proactively work to remove institutional and policy bottlenecks to ensure progress on major projects; promptly propose solutions to obstacles related to planning, public investment, urban development, transport infrastructure and regional connectivity; listen to and fully reflect voters’ opinions and follow up until final outcomes, ensuring that the voices of the people are substantively received and addressed, Chau added.

On this occasion, three collectives and 30 individuals received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the city People’s Committee for their outstanding contributions to the activities of the city Delegation of the 15th NA Deputies and for their achievements in advisory and support work for the delegation.
