Trillion - VND interchange in Hai Phong nearing completion

The project to build an interchange linking National Highway 17B with National Highway 5, crossing the Hanoi–Hai Phong railway line, is being rapidly brought to completion.
The interchange project linking National Highway 17B with National Highway 5 over the Hanoi–Hai Phong railway, located in Phu Thai commune (Hai Phong), has total investment of 1,867 billion VND.The main interchange is a first-class structure, designed as an elevated, interlinked circular flyover with a main bridge and eight on–off ramps, 19 meters wide. The main carriageway is more than 1 km long and 24–40 meters wide.To date, the project has completed 99 percent of works. Contractors are carrying out the final items, including installation of median dividers, and asphalt paving to restore the road surface on National Highway 5.The lighting system is being rapidly completed. The entire project is expected to be finished in June.Once completed, the project will contribute to reducing traffic congestion and accidents on National Highway 5 and progressively completing the transport route connecting the Hanoi–Hai Phong expressway with National Highway 18.
