The ongoing heatwave in Hai Phong is forecast to continue through August 15.

Under the influence of a low-pressure area over the west that is developing and expanding southeastward, parts of Hai Phong are experiencing hot to extremely hot weather on August 10, according to the City Hydrometeorological Station.
The highest temperatures are forecast at 36 – 38°C, while the lowest relative humidity is predicted to range from 50 – 55%.
The heatwave in Hai Phong is likely to persist through August 15. The natural disaster risk level for extreme heat is Level 1.
The combination of high temperatures and low humidity increases the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas as electricity demand rises, as well as the risk of forest fires. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures may also cause dehydration, exhaustion and heatstroke.
