Departments, agencies and localities in Hai Phong have proactively implemented international integration tasks in a coordinated manner across all pillars.
The Hai Phong Steering Committee for International Integration on December 18 held a conference to review the city’s international integration work in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026.
The conference comprehensively assessed the results of Hai Phong’s international integration in 2025, while identifying shortcomings and challenges and proposing solutions for the coming period to meet the requirements of increasingly deep, substantive and effective integration.
In the overall picture, economic integration continued to play a central role, making an important contribution to economic growth and restructuring in Hai Phong.
Export activities maintained positive growth momentum. Total export turnover in 2025 is estimated at more than 50 billion USD, exceeding the set target. Imports for production increased strongly, helping maintain a large trade surplus and contributing positively to macroeconomic stability. Domestic trade, logistics and e-commerce continued to grow at a solid pace, affirming the city’s role as a logistics hub.
At the conference, leaders of the city Department of Industry and Trade emphasized the need to implement international integration in a coordinated and substantive manner, closely linked to the city’s socio-economic development management in the new context.
Many opinions agreed that administrative procedure reform, trade facilitation and improvement of State management effectiveness in customs are particularly important for implementing integration commitments and free trade agreements.
On this occasion, commendation decisions of the city Department of Industry and Trade for collectives and individuals who made positive contributions to international integration work in 2025 were announced.
