Bus and Railway Stations Ready for Peak Season

At Thuong Ly Bus Station, preparations for the year-end season serving Tet travelers have been underway since early December. According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Deputy Head of Thuong Ly Bus Station, the extended Tet holiday for the Year of the Horse is expected to drive strong demand for homebound and leisure travel, prompting the station to make early and thorough preparations.
Immediately after the New Year holiday, the station intensified cleaning and maintenance, reorganized service areas, and coordinated closely with relevant authorities to ensure security, order, and fire safety throughout the peak period.

At Vinh Niem Bus Station, preparations for the Lunar New Year peak season are also being carried out in a synchronized and comprehensive manner. The station currently operates nearly 100 routes with more than 200 trips per day, connecting Hai Phong with most provinces and cities nationwide.

Meanwhile, Hai Phong Railway Station has also entered its peak transport period. Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Head of Hai Phong Railway Station, said that since mid-December 2025, the station, in coordination with the Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch, has developed a Tet service plan. Train schedules will be flexibly adjusted, with additional services ready to be deployed to meet actual passenger demand.

Transport Enterprises Take Proactive Measures

Alongside bus and railway stations, passenger transport enterprises are proactively preparing their fleets for the peak season, which is regarded as a key factor in improving service quality and maintaining business reputation during Tet.

In addition to large companies, many small and medium-sized transport operators have seized the opportunity to upgrade vehicle interiors and enhance onboard services. These efforts contribute to healthy competition and help raise the overall quality of passenger transport services across the city.

Currently, Hai Phong city has more than 17,300 transport enterprises operating nearly 44,800 vehicles, including over 33,600 cargo vehicles; more than 660 fixed-route passenger vehicles; 7,210 contract passenger vehicles; over 3,000 taxis; and 247 buses.
