Over 30,000 l of E10 gasoline sold in Hai Phong after 12 days of trial sale

According to a recent survey, after 12 days of piloting the sale of E10 biofuel (gasoline blended with 10% ethanol) at two stations in Hai Phong, sales have steadily increased.

On average, each station sells over 1,000 l/ day. Specifically, by the end of August 12, the Tan Duong station had sold more than 18,000 l, and the Thanh To station had sold more than 12,000 l of E10 biofuel.

Representatives of the two stations said that customers were eager to try E10 gasoline and acceptance was gradually growing. Many customers returned multiple times to refuel. Compared to the early days, people are now actively seeking out E10 gasoline without waiting for propaganda or encouragement.

Hai Phong is one of the first three localities in the country (along with Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city) to start selling E10 biofuel from August 1.

According to the Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOil), to prepare for the mandatory introduction of E10 gasoline starting January 1, 2026, PVOil is upgrading and renovating its current E5 RON92 blending stations at strategic depots nationwide to meet E10 business demands.
