The National Assembly voted to pass a resolution issuing several provisions on environmental protection tax, value-added tax, and special consumption tax on gasoline, oil, and aviation fuel.
Diversifying gasoline and diesel supply sources
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has called for strengthening domestic production capacity, diversifying the sources of gasoline and diesel supply, and developing alternative energy sources such as E10 biofuel, while enhancing storage capacity and risk‑management capability.
Environmental protection tax on energy drops to 0 VND
From 24:00 on March 26 to the end of April 15, the environmental protection tax on gasoline (excluding ethanol), diesel oil, and jet fuel is set at 0 VND per liter. The special consumption tax rate on all types of gasoline is also 0%.
Over 30,000 l of E10 gasoline sold in Hai Phong after 12 days of trial sale
Hai Phong residents are now proactively coming to buy E10 gasoline without waiting for propaganda or persuasion.
E10 biofuel sales to begin in Hai Phong on Aug 1
Hai Phong, along with Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city will begin the sale of E10, a biofuel blend comprising 10% ethanol and 90% traditional gasoline, on August 1.
