The Sinh Temple – Hoa Temple Traditional Festival 2026 officially opened, celebrating a cultural and spiritual heritage event of profound significance.

On the morning of June 22, at the National Historical and Cultural Relic Site of Hoa Temple, the People's Committee of Tran Hung Dao Ward organized the opening ceremony of the Sinh Temple – Hoa Temple Traditional Festival 2026 and an incense-offering ceremony in commemoration of Mother Goddess Thach Ban and Goddess Bong Hieu Thien.
According to genealogical records and stone inscriptions preserved at the site, Goddess Bong Hieu Thien was born in the ancient land of Yen Mo. During the Tran Dynasty, the Goddess is believed to have spiritually assisted Prince Hung Dao, Grand Commander Tran Quoc Tuan, and the Dai Viet army and people in defeating the Mongol invaders on the Bach Dang River in the 13th century, contributing to one of the most celebrated victories in Vietnamese history.

Over thousands of years of history, the Sinh Temple – Hoa Temple complex has preserved numerous valuable tangible and intangible cultural heritages and remains a renowned spiritual center of Mother Goddess worship in the ancient Dong An Mo region. Many royal decrees, genealogical records, stone steles, horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, and folk legends have been carefully preserved and passed down by local residents through generations.

In a solemn and reverent atmosphere, delegates, local residents, and visitors from across the country offered incense in tribute and expressed their profound gratitude for the contributions and merits of Mother Goddess Thach Ban and Goddess Bong Hieu Thien. The ceremony also reaffirmed the Vietnamese tradition of “remembering the source when drinking water,” helping to preserve and promote the distinctive cultural heritage and traditional values of the local community.

The Sinh Temple – Hoa Temple Traditional Festival 2026 took place from June 20 to 22 (corresponding to the 6th to 8th days of the fifth lunar month in the Year of the Horse), featuring a variety of distinctive activities, including the announcement ceremony, the festival opening ritual, the Moc Duc ceremony, the practice of the Vietnamese Mother Goddess Worship of the Three Realms, lion-dragon dance performances, traditional martial arts demonstrations, cultural and artistic performances celebrating the festival, a traditional procession, and the thanksgiving ritual.
Beyond its profound spiritual significance, the festival serves as an opportunity to educate younger generations about patriotism and gratitude toward their ancestors. It also contributes to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of the Sinh Temple – Hoa Temple historical complex, while showcasing the rich historical and cultural traditions of the An Mo – Tran Hung Dao area to residents and visitors from near and far.
