The National Press Conference 2026, the National Press Forum and the National Press Awards ceremony are among a series of events marking the 101st anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, hosted by Hai Phong.

Starting today (June 19), key events commemorating the 101st anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day officially get underway, including the National Press Conference 2026, the National Press Forum 2026, the 20th National Press Awards ceremony and the final round of the "Expanded Singing Contest for Journalists".
Held under the theme "Vietnamese Press – Loyal, Creative and Responsible in a New Era", the National Press Conference 2026 brings together 66 press agencies nationwide. Exhibition areas showcase major achievements of Vietnamese journalism over more than a century of development, reflecting the media's role in Party building, national development and international integration.
The 20th National Press Awards ceremony is a highlight of the celebrations marking the 101st anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day. The awards are regarded as the highest professional honor in Vietnamese journalism.

The Vietnam Journalists' Association is also organizing the National Press Forum 2026, bringing together leaders of media organizations, journalists, speakers and prominent communications experts.
Discussion sessions focus on topics including promoting the role of the press in safeguarding the Party's ideological foundation; media-business cooperation in shaping the future; innovation to attract new audiences and develop media economics; copyright protection in the AI era; and promoting Vietnam's image through the digital media ecosystem.
Delegates and guests will also hold in-depth discussions on the restructuring of media organizations from insiders' perspectives; the application and governance of AI at Vietnamese media outlets; policy communications to support local development in the digital era, etc.
