Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan has suggested that Hateco Haiphong International Container Terminal develop in a green, sustainable direction and take the lead in digital transformation.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan Le Minh Hoan, together with a National Assembly delegation, conducted a site survey and worked with Hateco Haiphong International Container Terminal (HHIT) Company on November 29.
At the survey, the company’s leadership reported that HHIT is Vietnam’s first smart terminal with automatic entry and exit gates, semi-automatic berths, capable of accommodating the largest vessels in the world and receiving direct shipments from distant locations such as the US West and East Coasts, Europe, and India. Since its launch early this year, total cargo throughput has reached 659,000 TEU.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan expressed his impression at the scale of investment, the speed of project implementation, and the terminal’s operational capacity.
Hoan highly appreciated HHIT’s pioneering role in investment and development in a green, smart direction in Vietnam. This significantly affirms the position and capability of Hai Phong and Vietnam’s seaports in the global supply chain, promotes international trade, and drives national socio-economic development in the “era of national ascent.”

Vice Chairman Le Minh Hoan expressed hope that Hateco will continue to focus on promoting solutions for green, sustainable port development, aiming to become a leading modern seaport in the region and the world. Special attention should be given to training high-quality human resources, leading in digital and green transformation, and sustainable development.
Regarding proposals and recommendations from the company, relevant agencies will compile and submit them for consideration and resolution, Hoan added.
