Israel technology connection in Hai Phong is expected to open pathways for applying high-tech agriculture, optimizing water resources and meeting sustainable development requirements.

The Hai Phong Center for Innovation and Application of Science and Technology under the city Department of Science and Technology organized an Israel technology connection event in the fields of agriculture and water resources on December 25.
Chen Peretz, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam, a delegation of Israeli technology experts, along with experts, enterprises and cooperatives in Hai Phong attended the event.

At the event, the Israeli experts introduced technologies, delivered presentations, demonstrated products and facilitated supply – demand connection related to high-tech agriculture and the management and optimization of water resources.
Many advanced technological solutions suitable for Hai Phong’s production conditions were presented, including smart and automated irrigation systems; precision water management technologies; aquaculture solutions applying sensors and digital technologies; and modern farm models meeting international standards.

Agriculture plays an important role in Hai Phong, especially in suburban areas and the western part of the city, with strengths in crop cultivation, aquaculture and the supply of agricultural products.
Amid the impacts of climate change, saltwater intrusion and increasingly stringent market requirements, the demand for applying high technology in agricultural production is becoming urgent.

The event was organized to effectively implement tasks for developing the science and technology market; strengthen connection and transfer of advanced solutions; and support enterprises, cooperatives and citizens in accessing new technologies and expanding international cooperation.
Within the program, representatives of Vietnamese enterprises and 11 Israeli enterprises participated in one-on-one supply – demand matchmaking sessions.

Since the beginning of the year, the Hai Phong Center for Innovation and Application of Science and Technology has advised the Department of Science and Technology and directly implemented numerous activities to develop the technology market, including the organization of 26 large-scale connection events with various countries.
