Hai Phong city will provide Dak Lak province with 50 billion VND along with medicine and medical supplies to help address the aftermath of recent flooding.

Standing Members of the Hai Phong Party Committee on the afternoon of November 22 issued a document approving a proposal of the Party Committee of the municipal People’s Committee on support of Dak Lak province in accordance with the Politburo’s direction.
Accordingly, the Party Committee of the municipal People’s Committee proposed to implement assistance in two phases.
In the first phase, from November 22 to 24, Hai Phong will provide Dak Lak province with 40 billion VND from the city’s Disaster Prevention Fund, and supply medicine and medical materials based on a list proposed by Dak Lak province and agreed upon with the Hai Phong Department of Health. The municipal People’s Committee will send a delegation to directly visit, encourage, and support residents of Dak Lak in overcoming flood consequences.

In the second phase, based on the outcomes of the working delegation’s meetings with Dak Lak authorities, the municipal People’s Committee will request the city Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations to launch a fundraising campaign to support people in the Central region affected by flooding.
A delegation of Hai Phong leaders, headed by Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Hung, will arrive in Dak Lak province at noon on November 23 to provide on-site support in addressing flood damage.
