Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau expressed his hope that the Hai Phong Compatriot Association in Ha Noi will continue to make active and effective contributions to building Hai Phong into a more prosperous and strong city.

Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee Le Tien Chau received a delegation from the Liaison Board of the Hai Phong Compatriot Association in Ha Noi, led by Senior Lieutenant General Tran Ba Thieu, former Director General of the General Department of Politics under the Ministry of Public Security and Head of the Liaison Board, on October 16.
On behalf of the association, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Ba Thieu extended greetings to the Party, government and people of Hai Phong, wishing them to uphold their solidarity, overcome challenges, strive for greater achievements, and soon realize their aspiration of building Hai Phong into a leading city in various fields nationwide.
He noted that with a growing membership base and increasingly effective activities, the association continues to operate on a voluntary and unified basis, adhering to its principles and objectives, strengthening its organization, and carrying out many initiatives directed toward the homeland.

Party Secretary Le Tien Chau briefed the delegation on the city’s recent socio-economic development achievements.
He emphasized that in the coming time, the city Party and government will continue to implement practical and comprehensive measures to build Hai Phong into a more prosperous, civilized and modern city, an economic, commercial, industrial, service and logistics hub of national scale, and a driving force for development in the Northern coastal region.
He stressed that achieving these goals requires not only the efforts of the Party, government and citizens of Hai Phong but also the support of businesses, investors, intellectuals, artists, and workers in all sectors, including the active and effective contributions of Hai Phong natives living away from home.
The Party Secretary expressed his hope that the association will continue to serve as a bridge, offering ideas, support and cooperation with the city in realizing socio-economic development goals, building Hai Phong into a green, civilized, modern, and sustainable port city that integrates deeply with the region and the world.
