In the first nine months of 2026, Hai Phong is estimated to have attracted USD 3.6383 billion in FDI, up 64.4% from the same period last year and reaching 93.3% of the annual target.

Hai Phong City attracted USD 180.6 million in foreign direct investment (FDI) in September, equivalent to 68.4% of the figure recorded in the same period last year and exceeding the target set in the scenario (USD 130 million), according to the city's socio-economic situation report.
In the third quarter, total FDI in the city was estimated at USD 428 million, USD 53 million higher than the quarterly target of USD 375 million and equivalent to 51% of the figure recorded in the same period last year.
In the first nine months, total FDI across the city reached USD 3.6383 billion, up 64.4% from the same period last year and reaching 93.3% of the year’s target (USD 3.9 billion). Of this, investment in industrial parks and economic zones was estimated at USD 3.3036 billion, while investment outside industrial parks and economic zones reached USD 334.7 million.
The FDI attraction results for the first nine months show that Hai Phong continued to attract investors thanks to its open investment environment, business support policies, and advantages in terms of location, seaports, transportation, industrial parks, economic zones and human resources. This provides a foundation for the city to continue attracting large-scale, high-tech projects, creating momentum for growth and improving the quality of investment flows.
