Hai Phong authorities, agencies, and localities are required to closely monitor weather warnings related to Typhoon Fengshen, notify vessels operating at sea, and adjust production plans to ensure the safety of people and property.
The Hai Phong Civil Defense Command has issued a directive to coastal agencies, units, and localities in Hai Phong to proactively respond to a tropical depression that has strengthened into Typhoon Fengshen, the 12th storm to hit Vietnam this year.
The Command requested local Civil Defense Commands, departments, agencies, and units to closely follow weather warnings, forecasts, and developments; inform captains and owners of vessels currently at sea to take precautionary measures and make suitable production plans to ensure safety for people and property; and maintain communication to promptly handle potential emergencies.
Forces and equipment must be ready to carry out rescue and relief operations if necessary.
Mass media agencies and grassroots broadcasting systems were asked to enhance dissemination of information to local authorities, vessel owners, and residents to actively take precautions and respond to the storm.
Strict duty shifts must be maintained, and any arising issues must be promptly reported to the Sub-department of Water Resources Management and Disaster Prevention for summarization and reporting.
