Medical facilities in Hai Duong province have tightened measures to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.
The provincial Hospital for Tropical Diseases has arranged two teams to receive and treat Covid-19 patients
A survey of some provincial hospitals in Hai Duong, including General, Lung, Pediatric, and Rehabilitation Hospitals, on April 18 and 19 revealed that Covid-19 control was tightened.
All hospitals placed noticeboards at reception areas, recommending people to strictly comply with epidemic prevention regulations, especially face mask wearing.
People who come for checkups are required to fill health declaration forms.
Those having symptoms of cough, fever, and illness will be recorded and directed to a separate screening area for a rapid SARS-CoV-2 test.
If the test result is positive, they will be taken to a Covid-19 treatment zone arranged by the hospitals.
Many medical facilities have found patients positive for SARS-CoV-2 in recent days thanks to tightening of infection measures.
The hospitals have also strengthened cleaning and disinfection. Sickrooms are daily cleaned and ventilated.
Most people coming to the provincial General Hospital for medical examination comply with the mandatory regulation of wearing face masks
The provincial General and Lung Hospitals require staff members, from security guards to personnel of departments, to remind people to wear face masks upon entry.
Hand sanitizers and face masks have been supplemented at the entrance of every department.
The provincial hospitals assigned to receive and treat Covid-19 patients by the Department of Health have been reviewing and arranging reception areas and consolidating treatment teams.
Many medical facilities in Hai Duong have been equipped with a lot of modern machines and means for reception and treatment of Covid-19 patients since the previous outbreaks.
Almost all provincial hospitals and several district medical centers have installed central oxygen systems at sickbeds. Oxygen reserves at medical facilities are still abundant.
