From November 30 to December 2, the Hai Phong Association for Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans, in coordination with the Huong Tu Tam Club in the city and the Flower of Compassion Charity Fund from Hong Kong, China visited and presented gifts to people with disabilities and orphans at social protection centers in Hai Phong and Hung Yen on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3).

In Hai Phong, the delegation visited and presented gifts to people with disabilities and orphans at the Hai Phong Psychiatric Nursing Center, the Hai Phong Social Protection Center, the Hoa Phuong Social Work and Child Protection Center, the Hai Phong SOS Children’s Village and the Hai Phong Special Education School, with each facility receiving 20 million VND; the Chi Linh Psychiatric Nursing Center and the Chi Linh Leprosy Hospital, each receiving 30 million VND; and the Hai Duong Social Protection and Nurturing Center, 40 million VND.

In Hung Yen, the delegation presented 50 million VND to the Thai Binh General Social Protection Center, 20 million VND to the Thai Binh SOS Children’s Village, and 1 million VND each to 30 severely disabled people in the province.
The total value of the donations was 300 million VND, funded by the Flower of Compassion Charity Fund.

At each location, representatives of the sponsors expressed their hope to share support and encouragement so that the people with disabilities and orphans can overcome difficulties, strive in life and integrate into the community.
