Smart classrooms will enable schools to effectively integrate climate change education, environmental protection and sustainable development into teaching activities.

The Hai Phong Department of Education and Training, in coordination with Save the Children, inaugurated and put into operation a smart classroom under the project “Climate change education for sustainable development” on December 19 at Tien Lang Junior High School in Tien Lang commune.
The project provides funding for five junior high schools in Hai Phong, namely Tien Lang (Tien Lang commune), Tien Minh (Tien Minh commune), Vinh Quang (Hung Thang commune), Chan Hung and Dong – Tay Hung (both in Chan Hung commune).
Each school is equipped with 40 tablet computers, one classroom with 36 sets of smart desks and chairs, one 86-inch interactive television screen, a communication corner, funding support for hands-on practice, and many other practical activities.

The modern equipment of the smart classrooms will help the schools innovate teaching methods, enhance the application of information technology, and promote students’ proactive and creative learning.
At the same time, it creates favorable conditions for the schools to effectively integrate content on climate change, environmental protection and sustainable development into teaching activities, thereby contributing to building students’ knowledge, skills and positive attitudes in responding to climate change.
