Currently, key traffic junctions on National Highway 18A and expressway routes such as Ha Long–Hai Phong and Ha Long–Van Don have been equipped with cameras that operate continuously 24/7.

To modernize traffic management and strengthen traffic order and safety, Quang Ninh province has deployed a wide‑scale network of AI‑powered cameras to automatically identify traffic violations.
The use of artificial intelligence allows the camera system to automatically identify vehicle license plates and accurately detect violations such as speeding, lane‑change violations, and not wearing helmets.
Beyond ‘cold fines’, AI-powered camera system also helps law‑enforcement agencies promptly prevent illegal street racing, acts of disturbing public order, and supports traffic‑accident investigations.
The entire coordination, analysis, recording, and processing works are completely automated, aiming to make records and pay fines online, without the need for violators to go to the police headquarters.
Quang Ninh has also advanced administrative reform in the transport sector, with 100% of procedures related to vehicle registration and license‑plate issuance or revocation handled through online public services. The VNeID application is used to verify dossiers and to implement electronic withholding of driving licenses.
