The master plan to develop Hai Phong City's tourism until 2030, with a vision to 2045, is expected to be a major boost for the port city's tourism growth.

On the afternoon of February 24, Haiphong City People's Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh Hung chaired a meeting to hear a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the ‘The master plan to develop Haiphong City's tourism until 2030, with a vision to 2045’.
After listening to the report from the leadership of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the project and opinions from various departments, sectors, and localities, Haiphong City People's Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh Hung urged relevant departments, sectors, and localities to focus their research on positioning the City’s tourism brand.

The master plan to develop Haiphong City's tourism until 2030, with a vision to 2045 stems from the urgent practical needs and the city's leadership vision, aiming to develop Haiphong tourism rapidly and sustainably, affirming its position as a major national tourism center and reaching out internationally.

These solutions aim for the 2030 target of 25 million visitors per year, 1.74 times the 2025 tourism arrivals, including 3 million international visitors (2.75 times the 2025 figure), and revenue of 50,000 billion VND (3.3 times the 2025 tourism revenue). The strategic vision to 2045 positions tourism as a spearhead economic sector contributing 10% to the city's GRDP.
