Hai Phong is working to finalize a project on football development to 2030, with a vision to 2045, aiming to build a comprehensive and professional football system with a clear roadmap and tangible results that meet fans’ expectations.
On February 24, Le Trung Kien, member of the Standing Committee of Hai Phong Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee, chaired a meeting to review the draft “Project on the Development of Hai Phong Football to 2030, with a Vision to 2045.” The meeting was attended by representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation and leaders of relevant departments, agencies and localities.
At the meeting, representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation and relevant departments put forward a range of constructive proposals to improve the city’s professional football performance in the coming years.
Many proposals focused on building a structured training system, improving coaching quality and strengthening youth and grassroots football development, seen as the foundation for nurturing future players and ensuring sustainable growth.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Trung Kien asked the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to take the lead in coordinating with relevant agencies and localities to finalize the project and submit it to the municipal People’s Committee before March 10.
He also called for a review and assessment of sports infrastructure, stadiums and facilities in localities and schools, along with updated records of students with sporting talent, including football, to support early talent training.
The project aims to develop comprehensive and professional football in Hai Phong, with a clear roadmap and tangible results in the future, meeting fans’ expectations.
