The Hai Phong – Vung Ang container transport route is expected to expand direct cargo connections for businesses in Vung Ang Economic Zone and across Ha Tinh province with Hai Phong international transshipment port.
Lao–Viet International Port JSC., in cooperation with Macstar Group, has officially launched the Hai Phong – Vung Ang – Hai Phong container transport route.
The first vessel, MACSTAR HAI PHONG, has arrived at Vung Ang Port and handled 222 TEUs, including containers of VinFast Manufacturing and Trading JSC., Ha Tinh branch, and empty containers designated for transit cargo from Laos.
The Hai Phong – Vung Ang – Hai Phong container service was established to connect import-export goods from existing and developing industrial parks in Ha Tinh with Hai Phong international transshipment port. The route offers competitive costs, high transport capacity, and contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions.
The service is expected to operate one trip per week, opening opportunities for direct connections between enterprises in Vung Ang Economic Zone and the North Central region with Hai Phong international transshipment port. This maritime transport solution is considered cost-effective, safe, environmentally friendly, and helps ease pressure on road infrastructure.
