Le Trung Kien, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People’s Committee and Head of the city Economic Zone Authority, had a courtesy meeting with Suzuki Yasuyuki, Vice Governor of Japan’s Niigata prefecture, on the sidelines of the first Vietnam–Japan Local Cooperation Forum in Quang Ninh province on November 25.
Vice Chairman Le Trung Kien affirmed that Niigata is a locality with a rich tradition and strong advantages in high-quality agriculture, manufacturing industries and tourism. These are also priority areas in which Hai Phong is focusing its development efforts and hopes to exchange and learn from Niigata’s experience.
Kien expressed his belief that in the coming period, the two sides can further strengthen cooperation in such fields as business connectivity; seaport and logistics development; green transition and sustainable development; human resources training; high-tech agriculture; cultural and educational exchange; and tourism development.
Hai Phong commits to creating the most favorable conditions for cooperative activities between the two localities, as well as for Japanese businesses and experts seeking investment opportunities, working and developing in the city.
