Many businesses in Hai Phong are proactively securing raw materials, increasing output and renewing product designs to meet consumer demand on the occasion of the 2027 Lunar New Year of the Goat.

Securing supplies in advance
Since late October, many businesses in Hai Phong have entered the peak production period for the Tet (New Year) market. Early preparations enable them to secure raw materials, arrange staffing, calculate production volumes and delivery schedules, and avoid being caught off guard when consumer demand rises toward the end of the year.
At Long Hai Co., Ltd. in Thach Khoi Ward, production plans have been put in place early to ensure raw material supplies, limit fluctuations in input costs and maintain stable selling prices. For the 2027 Tet, the company intends to supply approximately 12,000 tons of products to the market.
Hoang Giang JSC in Thanh Dong Ward has also stepped up production of its mung bean cakes for the Tet market. Dao Quang Chuyen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, said: “This year, our company plans to supply 350 – 400 tons of products, equivalent to last year's Tet output. Alongside traditional products, in recent years we have focused on researching and creating cakes in distinctive Tet-themed shapes, contributing to diversifying product designs to meet consumers' needs for shopping and gift-giving.”
In the agricultural processing sector, Moocos Vietnam Co., Ltd. in An Duong Ward has also proactively prepared its production and supply plans for the year-end period. This Tet, the company expects to supply approximately 11,000 products, including cold-pressed gac oil, fresh gac fruit packs, concentrated gac fruit packs and gac sauce. It has also planned to increase raw material supplies by more than 20% if necessary, enabling it to replenish stocks and meet additional demand.
Product innovation

Besides increasing output, enterprises are also focusing on adjusting their product portfolios, improving designs and refining distribution methods to better match consumer preferences. This is considered essential as the Tet goods market becomes increasingly diverse, giving consumers more choices and prompting them to pay closer attention to prices and quality.
Nguyen Quoc Huy, Head of the Industrial Management Division under the Department of Industry and Trade, said that the year-end period and Tet are times when demand for goods increases, creating opportunities for businesses to boost production and expand their markets.
However, amid fluctuations in purchasing power and input costs, businesses need to proactively develop appropriate production plans, ensuring a balance between output, quality and market demand. The industry and trade sector will continue to monitor the operations of manufacturing establishments, promptly compile reports on difficulties and obstacles, and coordinate support to help enterprises maintain production and business activities.
With early preparations in place, many Hai Phong businesses are gradually stepping up production and getting ready to bring their goods to market. Proactively securing supplies, innovating products and controlling costs will not only help enterprises capitalize on year-end sales opportunities but also lay the foundation for stable production in the new year.
