During the ragworm season, the company makes and sells more than 1,000 products each month.

Ha Tien potted ragworm product has been granted a three-star OCOP certificate
Established in 2020, Ha Tien An Thanh Tu Ky Ruoi (Ragworm) and Cay (Fiddler) Specialties Co., Ltd. had two products, cha ruoi (ragworm patty) and ruoi nieu (potted ragworm), granted three-star OCOP certificates in 2021.
Ha Tien ruoi nieu is also a staple product of the company.
Situated in An Dinh hamlet, An Thanh commune, Tu Ky district, the company has associated with local households to purchase and process ruoi from about 30 mau (3,600 m²) of land apart from its existing 3 mau.

Each season, the company buys 3 – 5 tons of ruoi for processing, freeze, and gradual sale throughout the year.
“Because ruoi can only live in safe soil and water with no plant protection products, products made from ruoi can meet all requirements of food safety and export,” said Ha Quang Tien, a representative of the company.
“However, ruoi is mainly consumed domestically or exported to China through unofficial channels, resulting in unstable prices.
“Ruoi can be used to make a lot of delicious dishes, but preservation for far transport is difficult.”

Ragworm spring roll is a new product of Ha Tien An Thanh Tu Ky Ragworm and Fiddler Specialties Co., Ltd.
Anxious about his homeland’s specialty, Tien has made many convenient dishes from ruoi that can be easily transported to all parts of the country.
Every 9th lunar month is the harvest of the first batches of ruoi. This is also the most suitable time to cook and enjoy ruoi, a specialty of Tu Ky.
Ruoi dot (braised ragworm) is traditionally cooked for diners to feel familiar flavors of the land. Big, fat, and red ruoi is chosen and cooked with bamboo shoots, ginger, tangerine peel, green onions, smartweeds, pork, etc. The ingredients are braised for 4 – 5 hours until they are dry and ruoi turns yellow, viscous, and moreish.
After cooking, ruoi is stored at a low temperature, packed, vacuumed, and transported to provinces and cities across the country.
During the ruoi season, the company makes and sells more than 1,000 cha ruoi and ruoi nieu products each month. Sales in the remaining months are lower.

The company is associating with local farmers to build a source of production materials on a total area of about 30 mau
Apart from cha ruoi and ruoi nieu, the company has launched two new products this year, namely nem ruoi (ragworm spring roll) and nuoc cot cay (fiddler juice). They are processed and packed in 300 - 400g boxes, convenient for consumers.
The company has supplied many products to agencies and clean food stores in a lot of provinces and cities in the country.
“We have contacted and worked with Ameii Vietnam JSC. to carry out procedures to export cha ruoi and ruoi nieu. In case of success, many overseas Vietnamese will be able to enjoy their homeland’s specialty right in foreign countries in the near future,” said Tien.
