National Highway 5 – 10 link road to complete site clearance in Oct

Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee Le Trung Kien presided over an inspection of compensation and site clearance for the project to build a road linking National Highways 5 and 10 through Kien An and Phu Lien wards on October 5.

The inspection was also aimed at addressing difficulties and obstacles related to two projects: the construction of technical infrastructure and the construction of buildings for Foreign Languages and Economics and Tourism Faculties at Hai Phong University.

At the inspection, the project owner and contractor asked Kien An and Phu Lien wards to quickly complete site clearance so the contractor can accelerate construction, particularly at Truong Chinh and Bui Vien tunnel sites and the branch bridge in Kien An Ward, where the site needs to be handed over before October 15.

Concluding the inspection, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Kien emphasized that the road linking National Highway 5 and National Highway 10 is an important transportation project that will strengthen infrastructure connectivity, ease traffic pressure in the western part of the city and expand space for socio-economic development. Therefore, construction needs to be carried out urgently and decisively.

To ensure the required schedule, the Vice Chairman asked Kien An and Phu Lien wards to strive to complete all site clearance work for handover to the contractor within this October.

Kien suggested that the project owner and contractor mobilize maximum manpower and equipment, develop plans and organize construction in a scientific manner, and accelerate the project's progress. He noted that during construction on Truong Chinh Street, the contractor must coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure traffic safety and environmental sanitation.

Regarding the two projects at Hai Phong University, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee asked the City Management Board of Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Projects to urgently inspect, review and verify the completed work volumes, and propose solutions to the city authorities in accordance with regulations and legal procedures so that the facilities can be put into operation soon.
