The Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch plans to add extra carriages to meet passenger demand for travel and tourism experiences on the Hoa Phuong Do train during the New Year holiday.

By December 26, around 1,000 passengers had successfully booked tickets for the Hoa Phuong Do (Red Flamboyant) train for the 2026 New Year holiday.
According to a representative of the Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch, shortly after information that the holiday would last four days was announced, ticket bookings increased by about 20% compared with previous days. The unit intends to add more carriages to serve passengers during this period. In particular, Hoa Phuong Do carriages have been widely chosen by young people seeking new travel experiences during this year’s holiday.
The Hoa Phuong Do train consists of 20 carriages and has been comprehensively invested in terms of interior design and services. Among them, two VIP carriages are designed in a “noble” style, featuring natural wooden flooring, single sofas, long sofas, a bar counter, free Wi-Fi, and live music performances throughout the journey.

56-seat high-quality soft-seat carriages are equipped with next-generation seats that can rotate 180 degrees, allowing passengers to avoid sitting opposite the train’s direction of travel. In addition, the train also includes standard 64-seat carriages with flexible ticket pricing to meet diverse travel needs.
Ticket prices during the New Year holiday are applied at weekend rates. VIP carriage tickets are priced at 350,000 VND, high-quality soft-seat tickets at 180,000 VND, and standard tickets at 150,000 VND.
After more than seven months of operation, the Hai Phong – Ha Noi Hoa Phuong Do train has operated more than 1,700 trips, serving over 850,000 passengers.
