The trains transporting residents, officials, and workers from Hai Duong Station to Hai Phong Station and vice versa are gradually operating stably.
After more than two weeks of operation, the Hai Duong – Hai Phong HP15/HP16 trains have become stable, serving residents, officials, and workers traveling between Hai Duong and Hai Phong.
According to the leadership of Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch, passenger numbers have stabilized at about 110 per trip. After two weeks, around 70 passengers have purchased monthly tickets. The trains are usually most crowded at the beginning and end of the week.
The service currently offers incentives for all passengers, including one free bottle of water and a 50% discount on the first meal purchased.
Retail ticket prices from Hai Duong Station to Thuong Ly and Hai Phong stations, and vice versa, are 55,000 VND per trip, applicable to all passengers.
Passengers who buy round-trip tickets for the same departure and destination stations (paying for both trips at once) receive a 20% discount. Groups of four or more passengers traveling on the same train only need to pay for three tickets.
Those purchasing monthly round-trip tickets enjoy significant savings. From October 2025, the monthly round-trip ticket price purchased at the station is 1.5 million VND per ticket, a discount of more than 40%. After completing the purchase, passengers will receive a hard train card for travel.
Hai Phong Railway Transport JSC. will continue to coordinate with the Hai Phong Department of Construction to evaluate operations, improve routes and service quality, and optimize travel efficiency for residents, officials, and workers commuting from the west to the east of Hai Phong.
