High expectations for large-scale, modern projects

To celebrate the 14th National Party Congress and the 79th anniversary of National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 – 2025), Hai Phong, together with other localities nationwide, will inaugurate and break ground on 14 key works and projects.

Among the projects selected for live nationwide broadcast on Vietnam Television at two connected sites is the inauguration of several social housing buildings under the Trang Due Urban Area – Commercial Service and Worker Housing Project in An Duong ward. The project covers a total area of 31,369 m2 and includes social housing and worker housing with 2,538 apartments across 10 buildings, with a total investment of 1.6 trillion VND.

The second site, connected live with the Central level, is the groundbreaking of three interchanges at Le Hong Phong – Nguyen Trai, Bui Vien – Le Hong Phong, and Bui Vien – Vo Nguyen Giap streets, held in An Bien and Le Chan wards. The three interchanges have a combined investment of 2.335 trillion VND.

Hai Phong will also organize the groundbreaking and commencement of 10 other works and projects in various localities. Most of these projects involve investments of hundreds of billions to trillions of VND, reflecting the port city’s focused and strategic investment approach.

The projects to be launched on this occasion span multiple sectors, including transport, healthcare, social housing and industry, and also include projects by private enterprises, demonstrating strong determination and decisive participation by the entire political system and the public.

Beyond efforts to develop and complete transport infrastructure, expand urban space and create momentum for regional connectivity, many projects are symbolic in nature and will transform the city’s appearance.

In Hai Phong, the completion of major infrastructure and transport works has already been and will continue to be a key factor reshaping the city toward a dynamic and modern profile, serving as tangible and convincing evidence of its socio-economic achievements, as the city has maintained double-digit growth for many consecutive years.

The emulation movement “Strategic breakthroughs in developing synchronized and modern infrastructure” plays an important role in turning the Party’s strategic guidelines into concrete action, generating strong momentum and driving force for infrastructure projects, from transport to energy.

It also helps inspire patriotic emulation, mobilize people from all walks of life and enterprises to contribute initiatives and capital to infrastructure development, promote innovation in management and construction, practice thrift, prevent waste, and ensure that investment capital is used substantively and effectively.

The achievements recorded to date have created new momentum and motivation for the next stage of development, marking a significant political milestone in celebrating the 14th National Party Congress and further promoting Hai Phong’s image as a dynamic city with strong appeal to investors.

These works and projects also reflect the high level of consensus and unity among the Party, authorities and people of the city in pursuing socio-economic development goals and striving to achieve a strategic breakthrough in infrastructure development, with the aim of building the port city into a smart, modern city of international stature.
