Convective clouds are developing over the coastal area of Quang Ninh - Hai Phong and may move inland, bringing thunderstorms to many areas of the city.
According to the Hai Phong Hydro-Meteorological Station, convective clouds are developing over the coastal area of Quang Ninh - Hai Phong and may move toward inland areas of the city.
Over the next three hours, the convective cloud system may move and bring rain to Nam Do Son, Do Son wards and Cat Hai Special Zone, as well as many areas in the northeastern part of the city, including Thuy Nguyen, Thien Huong, Hoa Binh, Nam Trieu, Bach Dang, Luu Kiem, Le Ich Moc, Hong Bang, Hong An, Ngo Quyen, Gia Vien, Le Chan, Dong Hai, An Duong, An Hai and An Phong, along with several other areas. The rain may then spread to nearby localities.
During thunderstorms, residents should watch out for whirlwinds, lightning and strong gusts. The natural disaster risk level for whirlwinds, lightning and hail is Level 1.
After the period when thunderstorms are likely to occur, Hai Phong’s weather on September 26 is expected to be mostly partly cloudy with sunny periods during the day, while nighttime will be rain-free in central and coastal areas.
