Luong Tung Duong, a grade 10 student at Thai Phien Senior High School in Hai Phong, has won a gold medal in kickboxing at an international tournament in Dongxing, Guangxi (China).
Luong Tung Duong, a grade 10 student at Thai Phien Senior High School in Hai Phong, delivered an impressive performance, defeating his opponents to claim the gold medal in the kickboxing event of a tournament freshly organized by the 2026 China – Vietnam Cross-border Youth Taekwondo, Boxing and Free Martial Arts Federation.
Held in Dongxing, Guangxi (China), the tournament brought together young athletes from both countries, providing opportunities for exchange and learning and strengthening friendship and solidarity between Vietnamese and Chinese youth.
The gold medal is not only a proud milestone for Duong personally but also an inspiration for students at Thai Phien Senior High School to actively improve their physical fitness and develop their talents.
In addition to winning the international kickboxing title, Luong Tung Duong is also known for his versatility and energetic spirit. Besides his passion for martial arts, he enjoys music and has a talent for singing and playing musical instruments.
In February 2026, Duong and the school team competed in the first Junior and Senior High School Student Band Competition of the 2025 – 2026 academic year, where they won third prize.
