In the first 10 months of 2025, business development in Hai Phong city showed positive results, with the number of newly-established enterprises surpassing the set target.

Nearly 6,300 new businesses were established in Hai Phong city in the first 10 months of 2025, exceeding the year’s plan by 3.2% and rising by 33.8% compared to the same period last year. The total registered capital of these new enterprises exceeded 65 trillion VND, up 161.8% year-on-year.
The increases in both number and registered capital of new businesses reflects the favorable and transparent investment and business environment that the city’s authorities and sectors are striving to build. The strong growth in business establishment has become a driving force, contributing to Hai Phong’s socio-economic development and helping the city achieve its growth targets.
Hai Phong now has more than 45,000 active enterprises. Under Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo on private economic development, the city aims to have over 87,000 operating enterprises by 2030, contributing about 43 – 45% of GRDP and creating jobs for 60 – 62% of the local workforce.
