Amid prolonged heavy rainfall causing flash floods and landslides across several Central and Central Highland provinces, submerging tens of thousands of homes, isolating many areas, disrupting transportation and severely affecting daily life, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong on November 23 released an open letter urging support for affected communities.
Upholding the tradition of compassion and solidarity of Hai Phong people, the committee calls on agencies, units, businesses, socio-political organizations, benefactors, officials, Party members, civil servants, public employees, workers and all citizens of the city to actively participate in the campaign; support people in the Central and Central Highlands provinces suffering severe losses; provide essential goods, clean water, medicine, food and necessities; and help Dak Lak province quickly overcome difficulties and restore daily life.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong affirms that all donated funds and goods will be received, managed and allocated transparently, publicly and in a timely manner to flood-hit communities.
The fundraising and donation period runs from November 23 to December 23, 2025.
