Hai Phong develops united and professional business association

On the afternoon of March 4, the Hai Phong City Business Association held its 1st Congress for the 2026-2031 term.

Promoting the business community's role in city development

In his speech at the Congress, Hai Phong Party Committee Secretary Le Tien Chau emphasized that organizing the 1st City Business Association Congress for the 2026-2031 term holds special significance, not only as the starting point for a new term but also as a way to strengthen forces and expand linkages for the business community following the merger of the former Hai Duong Provincial Business Association into the Haiphong City Business Association.

Highlighting some outstanding results in the city's socio-economic development, the City Party Committee Secretary stressed the important role and contributions of entrepreneurs and the business community to the city's growth.

The City Party Committee Secretary urged the new Executive Board of the City Business Association to quickly stabilize its organization, build a united, substantive, and professional and putting its members at the center.

The city is committed to always accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for the business community to develop in line with the Politburo’s Resolution No. 68 and Resolution No. 79, while assigning tasks to the People's Committee and relevant departments, sectors, and localities to continue close coordination, facilitate the association's activities; maintain periodic dialogue mechanisms with businesses, and promptly resolve emerging issues in production and business operations.

In his speech at the Congress, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vice Chairman Nguyen Quang Vinh expressed confidence that with the motto "Connection - Accompaniment - Development," the Hai Phong City Business Association will become a reliable bridge between businesses and government, and among businesses, contributing to building a transparent, favorable, and sustainable investment and business environment, while actively supporting the city's growth targets.

VCCI pledges to accompany the City Business Association in protecting businesses' legitimate rights and interests. It will support businesses in enhancing management capacity, promoting digital and green transformation; strengthening trade connections, investment promotion, and international integration.
