By the end of June 2026, the city’s total export tax collection reached VND 47,400 billion, up 14.8% year-on-year.

According to Customs Sub-Department No. 3, total export tax revenue for the city reached VND 47,400 billion through June 2026, a 14.8% increase from the same period in 2025. This figure exceeds the six-month scenario target by 16.34% and reaches 56.34% of the 2026 annual target.
Revenue remained stable thanks to high-value, high-tariff import groups such as fully imported cars, machinery and equipment, and auto parts, as well as many items serving industrial production. Ongoing growth in import-export activity in the locality provided a positive foundation for budget collection.
The centralized customs clearance model, launched on June 1 2026, together with accelerated digital transformation and IT applications in customs management, has improved state management efficiency and boosted cargo throughput via Hai Phong’s port system. These measures contributed to the unit’s revenue growth in the first half of the year.
In the second half of 2026, Customs Sub-Department No. 3 will continue to facilitate trade and support businesses, strengthen risk management and anti-revenue-loss measures, and tightly control tax-risk areas, aiming to meet and exceed its assigned revenue target of VND 84,200 billion.
