Hai Phong's total export turnover reached nearly 26 billion USD in the first six months of 2026, up 8.15% from the same period in 2025, exceeding the city's growth target.

According to the city's Department of Industry and Trade, exports totaled nearly 26 billion USD during the January-June period, equivalent to 50% of the annual target and exceeding the growth target set for the first half of the year, which projected exports of 23.953 billion USD.
The export performance reflects continued recovery in production, business expansion and the ability of local enterprises to participate in global supply chains, particularly as the city accelerates the development of high-tech industries, attracts foreign investment, expands its logistics network and makes better use of its seaport advantages. Hai Phong's main export markets include South Korea, Japan and the EU.
The report also showed that the city's import turnover exceeded 21.6 billion USD in the first six months of the year, up 16.77% year-on-year. The figure reached around 52% of the annual target and surpassed the growth target for the period, which projected imports of nearly 19.5 billion USD.
