Hai Phong has completed site clearance for 15 out of 22 resettlement areas serving the Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong railway construction project passing through the city.

According to the Hai Phong Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong railway construction project running through 23 communes, wards, and special zones of the city with a total length of about 89.88 km. The total area to be acquired is more than 624 ha, affecting 6,096 households.
To date, nine out of 23 communes, wards, and special zones have completed land-attached asset inventory. The remaining 14 localities are essentially completing the inventory process.
For the construction of resettlement areas serving the project, there are 14 projects with 22 resettlement sites, all of which have been approved by the city People’s Committee.

Site clearance has been completed for 15 out of 22 resettlement areas in the wards and communes of Duong Kinh, An Hung, An Khanh, Kien Thuy, Kien Hai, Duong An, Tan Ky, Chi Minh, Yet Kieu, Gia Loc, Gia Phuc, and Cam Giang.
Work progress at stations along the route is being accelerated.
A groundbreaking ceremony for component project 1 under the Lao Cai – Ha Noi – Hai Phong railway construction project is expected to take place in Gia Loc commune on December 19.
