Hai Duong has 265 planting area codes for export

Hai Duong has 199 lychee planting area codes, mainly in Thanh Ha district

Hai Duong province has so far had 265 planting area codes for export, covering a total area of 1,735 ha, mainly in Chi Linh city and Thanh Ha district.

There are 199 codes for lychee growing areas, 27 codes for longan, and the rest for other crops.

Plants grown in the code-granted areas are mostly exported to such countries as the US, China, Australia, Japan, and Thailand.

The provincial Sub-department of Cultivation and Plant Protection has asked local authorities to urgently apply for granting of codes for eligible planting areas and establishments in need to ensure the efficiency of code granting.

Growing areas and packing facilities should be granted codes 90 days before the harvest season in case of export to the US.

Businesses owning planting area codes should promptly complete procedures to facilitate connection, code management, and signing of underwriting contracts with people in code-granted areas to satisfy export conditions.
