The Plant Protection Department requires to strengthen quarantine for imported and exported goods as regulations before, during, and after Tet.

The Plant Protection Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) has issued Directive No. 422 on organizing the 2026 Lunar New Year celebration, requiring the entire sector to strictly implement measures to ensure food quarantine safety, production, and disease prevention.
Specifically, the Plant Protection Department directs Plant Quarantine Sub-Departments in provinces and cities nationwide to assign leaders, officials, and employees to be on duty, ensuring full and timely implementation of assigned tasks.
The Plant Protection Department also requires materials management divisions to closely monitor and evaluate supply-demand, prices, and distribution systems for crop seeds, plant protection drugs, and fertilizers; promptly compile, report, and propose solutions in case of unusual fluctuations to ensure stable production markets.
Besides, Plant Protection Centers are required to closely coordinate with localities, maintain notifications and reports on crop pest and production as regulation; report any emerging situations beyond authority or handling capacity for timely resolution.
