Environmental protection tax on energy drops to 0 VND

From 24:00 on March 26 to the end of April 15, the environmental protection tax on gasoline (excluding ethanol), diesel oil, and jet fuel is set at 0 VND per liter. The special consumption tax rate on all types of gasoline is also 0%.

Stricter vehicle emission checks from March 1

Under Decision No. 43 on the roadmap for applying the national technical regulation on emissions for road motor vehicles, from March 1, 2026, vehicle inspection centers will conduct emission inspections under new procedures and testing methods to ensure accurate results and meet environmental targets.
