On the afternoon of January 21, during a plenary session, the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam adopted a resolution to shorten its working schedule by 1.5 days.
Earlier, at a press conference held prior to the Congress to brief the media on the agenda, Politburo member and Standing Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu announced that the Congress was scheduled to take place from January 19 to January 25, 2026.
However, during the course of the Congress, with a strong sense of action, an efficient, scientific and highly responsible working approach, many agenda items were completed ahead of schedule. Consequently, at the working session on the afternoon of January 21, the Congress voted to approve an adjusted agenda, shortening the overall duration by 1.5 days compared with the original plan.
Accordingly, the Congress is expected to conclude on January 23.
