The Vietnam Exhibition Agency said Vietnam is taking part for the first time in the 61st exhibition, held from May to November 2026 in Venice.

The exhibition, titled “Vietnam: Art in the Global Flow,” is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and features 10 artists of Le Nguyen Chinh, Bui Huu Hung, Doan Thi Thu Huong, Cong Kim Hoa, Le Huu Hieu, Nguyen Truong Linh, Le Hoang Nguyen, Oanh Phi Phi, Trieu Khac Tien and Trinh Tuan. The works are curated by Do Tuong Linh.

Characterized by multi-layered composition and a rich palette, the artworks offer a distinctive visual experience.

The event marks a milestone, affirming the presence of Vietnamese fine arts on the global contemporary art stage.

The exhibition aligns with this year’s theme, “In Minor Keys,” evoking subdued musical tones that parallel the patient polishing process of lacquer craftsmanship.

An organizer said the exhibition does not aim to assert its position through scale but to open a space for artistic dialogue, inviting viewers to engage with subtle voices, reflect on stillness and consider creative energy in a multidimensional world.
